  • Electric resistance furnace

In the construction of the elements, alloy materials with a high melting point, resistant to corrosion and oxidation, are used so that they do not melt under high heat. Electric resistance furnaces are produced and used in two types: direct heating and indirect heating.

  • Induction Furnace

One of the types of new and modern furnaces that use electric current to melt raw materials is the induction furnace. This furnace is placed in the category of resistance furnaces. This electric current device creates a magnetic field in the coil, which causes it to melt by producing eddy currents in the metal. The frequencies of this oven are divided into three categories: low 50 Hz, medium between 200 and 1000 Hz, and high frequency 1000 Hz and above.

  • Electric arc furnace

This type of furnace has a large space with a steel body covered with refractory materials and water pipes, where the raw materials melt when exposed to heat. The use of water pipes is to prevent the loss of refractory material against high temperatures. The electric arc furnace is also divided into direct and indirect electric arcs.
